Fourth of July 2010

Silas watching the opening of the Independence Day Parade for the Greeley Stampede.
A herd of longhorn cattle is herded down the street by cowboys. Amelie has decided that she would like to be a cowboy, only a girl who rides on the horse, not a boy.

They look pretty sedate, but with those long horns, it seems prudent to keep a sharp eye out for any that might be getting upset.
Do they lace their feed with a sedative that morning?

Here are the flags on parade- a tribute to our nation's war veterans.

Here is a vehicle surviving from World War I. Check out the solid rubber tires!

Josiah and Grandma watching the parade.

How'd you like to have one of these to drive around? Talk about a wagon ride!

Silas in the sandbox later that day.

Amelie in the pool.

The littlest swimmer
(Have you ever seen how much a diaper can hold from the pool?
It's astounding!!!)

The handsomest lifeguard!

Pretty flowers in my aunt's backyard.

This is my uncle, shortly after inhaling a little too much smoke from the backyard barbecue.
Hmmm... he may need professional help!
