The beauty of fall...

We visited family in mid-November on the east side of the Rockies and enjoyed the beauty of one of the local lakes during late afternoon and early evening.

Bird footprints in the water...

If you took time to count the sequence of seeds and were able to measure the spirals, I'd reckon a guess that you'd find a Golden Spiral... the fingerprint of God in His creation.
If you're not sure what the fingerprint of God is in terms of the Golden Spiral or the Golden Ratio, then do a little search on the Fibonacci Sequence and the Golden Ratio. It's everywhere- in our facial features and body measurement ratios, on snail shells, in sunflowers, on trees, on the stalks of plants... it's everywhere!!!

The two groups of geese in the lake appeared to be having a face-off.
It ended peacefully.

End of October... Pumpkin Patch & Corn Maze

This is the stuff that homeschool field trips are made of...
...hay in the shirts and corn in the shoes!

Joe and Lemuel with a baby doll... loves his "babies."

And a happy birthday to Silas... who loves CHEESECAKE for his birthday!
Last year it was tiramisu.
He is a lover of gourmet and flavor.

Just another day in the kitchen...
Wonder how this stuff got there?

Roses in October... because it's Grand Junction.

And then we went on a trip!

Yep- the end of September through the beginning of October found us on a family trip to the Sight and Sound Theater in Branson, Missouri, and the Creation Museum and Ark Encounter in the Cincinnati, Kentucky area. We had the joy of visiting family on our way home, and getting in a little more "current" history with some stops in southern Colorado on the way  A separate blog site is in the works with the details of our trip, but here's a sneek peak!
