Time for New Sheets When...

You know you're going to need new sheets in the future when:
-You notice the fitted sheet has developed several small holes (either it's wear-and-tear or it's time to tell your husband that he needs to trim his toenails).
-You have to zig-zag stitch the seams on the pillow cases- the material is rotting and has torn apart.

The clincher is when:
-The pillow cases tear again- you know you're going to have to reinforce with additional fabric and another line of zig-zag stitches.
-The flat sheet tears at the top hem when you're pulling it up while making the bed.

Are these sheets even safe to sleep on???

Long-term goal: Await another 30% coupon from Kohls and hope for a good sale that coincides with the coupon dates.  800-count would be nice.

Short-term goal: The sheets have five years of solid use on them- what's another month or two with some flannel fabric for reinforcement and more zig-zag stitching?  Hmmm, might get six months more of use with this method!!!
