Food is Beautiful

God made real food beautiful... especially pomegranates!  I think the color and appearance of the inside flesh of a pomegranate is my favorite out of all fruits and vegetables; the deep scarlet color shines and has a glossy depth to it.

-For easy preparation, cut the top 1/4-inch off, slit each side about a 1/4-inch deep where you see the white part forming sections.
-Soak the whole thing in a bowl of cold water for about 10 minutes and then pull it apart, gently working the small pieces out into the water with your fingers.  (Keep the whole thing submerged while your work at this.)
-When you've removed all of the pieces from the white part, strain the water out and enjoy the fruits of your labor!

These are sweet and tart with a nice crunch.  The perfect Fall fruit!
